Cyrilla E. Riester, 96, a resident of Greenridge Village, formerly of Shippensburg, died Wednesday, May 8, 2013 in the home.
Born January 20, 1917 in Hagerstown, MD, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Emma Elko Mihalik.
Cyrilla was a member of Our Lady of the Visitation Catholic Church in Shippensburg.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Riester who died September 5, 2012 and one son Thomas C. Riester who died in 1981. There are two sisters and two brothers also deceased.
Cyrilla is survived by three sons, William C. Riester, Jr. and his wife Connie of Shippensburg, John H. Riester and his wife Sally of Cincinnati, OH, and Robin J. Riester and his wife Denise of Atlanta, GA, one daughter, Barbara A. Carney and her husband Michael of Saratoga Springs, NY, one sister, Monica Fitzpatrick of Mechanicsburg, nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Private graveside services will be held in the Spring Hill Cemetery.
Officiating will be Father Dave A. Hillier. There will be no viewing or visitation.
