Cory L. Stenger, 46, of Chambersburg, passed away the morning of Saturday, October 16, 2021 at the Chambersburg Hospital.
He was born on October 20, 1974 in Chambersburg, a son of Steven D. and Sherry L. (Fahnestock) Stenger of Chambersburg.
Cory was a 1993 graduate of the Chambersburg Area Senior High School. He worked at Letterkenny Army Depot for 18 years as a heavy mobile equipment mechanic leader. Cory was a member of the Mason Dixon Beagle Club.
Cory was very involved as a coach in youth athletics, especially with his children’s teams. He coached football for the Greenvillage Broncos and C.A.S.H.S. Junior High team. He also coached for the Mason Dixon Blaze softball team and the Williamsport Angels baseball team. Cory loved the outdoors, especially hunting and camping with all of his family and friends. He was a wonderful son, father, brother, friend, and mentor.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Cheyenne (Andrew) Kinch of Carlisle; one son, Chase Stenger of Orrstown; Fiancé, Loretta Duvall of Chambersburg; one sister, Courtney (Parker) Williamson of Carlisle; two nephews, Keegan and Torin Williamson; three half-siblings, Cody, Chase, and Fawn Clopper; and one step-son, Dalton Baker.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. There will be no public viewing, visitation, or service at this time. A celebration of life service will be scheduled at a later date and time.
