Clifford E. Robinson, 85, a resident of the Falling Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Chambersburg, formerly of Lurgan, died Friday, January 25, 2013 in the center.
Clifford was born March 10, 1927 in Greencastle. He was a son of the late Earnest F. and Mary E. Bryan Robinson.
Clifford retired from the Penn Central Rail Road in 1978 where he was a machine operator. He was a United States Army veteran of World War II and a life member of the Durff-Kuhn VFW Post # 6168, Shippensburg.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.
Clifford is survived by his wife, Nellie M. Armstrong Robinson, four sons, Larry D. Armstrong and his wife Deborah S. of Shady Grove, Leonard D. Robinson and his wife Mandy R. and Paul E. Robinson and his wife Carol A. all of Fayetteville, and Dave C. Robinson of Orrstown, three daughters, Bonnie R. Sellers and her husband Terry of Chambersburg, Linda R. Ruggiero and her husband Nick of Neelyton and Grace E. Ervin and her husband Mike of Orrstown, two sisters, Grace Wojtowich of Houtzdale, and Doris Click of Riverside, CA, 15 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 28, 2013 at 11 a.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Shippensburg. Officiating will be The Rev. Richard E. Mose. Burial with military honors conducted by the Shippensburg American Legion and VFW Posts will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. A viewing will be held Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home.
