Cleora S. Hauk, 87, a resident of Chapel Pointe, Carlisle, formerly of Shippensburg, departed this life on the evening of Sunday, July 2, 2017.
She was born on July 25, 1929, in Mowersville, a daughter of the late Jesse A. and Edna Killinger Sailhamer and was a 1947 graduate of Shippensburg High School. Cleora married Rev. Paul K. Hauk on January 17, 1948, at the Shippensburg First Church of God.
Cleora worked for many years as a cashier/clerk in various businesses. Later, for over forty-three years, she assisted her husband in the Christian Ministry.
In addition to her husband of sixty-nine years, Cleora is survived by three children, Dr. Gary (Sara) Hauk of Decatur, GA, P. Christine (Lt. Col. Ret. Dennis) Goodling of Camp Hill, and Dr. David (Debra) Hauk of Reading; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Cleora was preceded in death by three sisters, Sarah Killian, Evelyn Brendza, and Betty Durff; one brother, Jacob “Bud” Sailhamer; one daughter, Merry Carol Hauk; and one grandson, Thomas John Anthony Hauk.
Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., on Saturday, July 8, 2017, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. The Rev. W. Stanley Darrah will officiate. Interment will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Carlisle First Church of God at 705 Glendale Street Carlisle, PA 17013.
