Cindy J. Emondi, 55, of Shippensburg, passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at the Chambersburg Hospital.
Born Monday, July 13, 1964 in Chambersburg, she was a daughter of Marilyn Jean Mackey Nenninger, and the late Clarence Albert “Sonny” Nenninger, Sr.
Cindy was a 1983 graduate of the Shippensburg Area Senior High School. She was a member of the Shippensburg Church of the Brethren. She worked as the Café Manager at the Shippensburg University, with 40 years of service. Cindy was a social member of the Durff-Kuhn VFW Post #6168 Shippensburg.
She enjoyed going to the races, camping, and loved to eat just about anything.
In addition to her mother, Cindy is survived by her sister, Crystal (Timothy) Rine, Newburg; one niece, Heidi Gutshall, Shippensburg; one nephew, Jeremy (companion Kendra Foltz) Rine; one great nephew, Keagan J. Rine, all of Newburg; and her companion, John J. O’Neill, Shippensburg.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony M. “Tony” Emondi, Sr., who died January 20, 2016; their infant son, Anthony M. Emondi, Jr.; and one brother, Clarence Albert Nenninger, Jr.
A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Shippensburg Church of the Brethren, with Pastor Brian Markle officiating. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shippensburg Church of the Brethren, 253 East Garfield Street, Shippensburg, PA 17257.
