Cindy Sue Ashway, 55, of Chambersburg, formerly of Shippensburg, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2013 in the Hershey Medical Center.
She was born March 2, 1958 in Chambersburg, Franklin County. Cindy was a daughter of Charles R. and Maxine S. Walker Strohm of Shippensburg.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Walnut Bottom. Cindy was a CNA for over 30 years and was an EMT in Shippensburg. She was a 1976 graduate of the Shippensburg Area Senior High School.
In addition to her parents she is survived by her husband, Michael A. Ashway, two daughters, Eden Naomi Strohm of Chambersburg, and Nancy May Ashway of Norfolk, VA, two grandchildren, Caitlin Young, and Caleb Ashway both of Norkfolk, VA, one brother, C. Todd Strohm and his wife Amy of Shippensburg, two sisters, Teresa S. Strohm of Boiling Springs, and Melisa M. Gephart and her husband Michael of Shippensburg, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 28, 2013 at 2 p.m. in the Trinity United Methodist Church, Walnut Bottom. Officiating will be The Rev. Ryan K. Gephart. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. A viewing will be held Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc., Shippensburg.
