Christopher Lee Thomas, 26, of Lancaster, formerly of Shippensburg, died on the morning of Sunday, August 18, 2013.
He was born on October 26, 1986, in Wilmington, DE, a son of Karen K. and Rodney D. Baugher. Chris was a 2004 graduate of Shippensburg Area High School, where he was a member of the Track & Field and Cross Country Teams. He attended DelVal College in Doylestown for one and a half years and also attended Kutztown University.
Chris was very active in the Boy Scouts, achieving the esteemed rank of Eagle Scout. He liked all kinds of sports, music, and just loved to help others and make them smile. Very good with words, Chris liked to write poetry and aspired to be both a writer and film maker.
He is survived by his mother and step father, Karen K. Thomas (Rodney D.) Baugher of Shippensburg; two brothers, Joshua Ryan Routsong of Shippensburg and Chad Townsend of Dillsburg; maternal grandparents, Harry and Doris Thomas of Shippensburg; four uncles, Robert Thomas, David (Kathy) Thomas, Tim (Leslie) Thomas, and Mitchell (Cathy) Thomas, all of Shippensburg; and many cousins and friends.
His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, August 23, 2013, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Inc., Shippensburg. Pastor J.R. Wells will officiate. Interment will be in the Cleversburg Cemetery. Viewing will be Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
