Charlotte Elizabeth Motter, 97, of Shippensburg, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at her home.
Born Sunday, January 11, 1920 in Fayetteville, PA, she was a daughter of the late Oliver R. and Edna R. DeHart Rotz, Sr.
Charlotte was a past member of the Oakville United Methodist Church. She was a member and very active in the Pony Harness Horse Racing Association.
Charlotte was a lifelong farmer. She retired from the former Greif Company in Shippensburg with 44 years of service, she was also employed at the Greencastle Livestock Market with 25 years of service. Charlotte also worked at the Valley Motel, Carlisle and various Restaurants, in Carlisle and Shippensburg.
Survivors are one son, Ricky L. Motter, Shippensburg, and his companion Barb Reichert, Biglerville; three grandsons, Josh L. Motter, Dusty L. (wife Kathleen) Motter, and Rusty Lee Motter, all of Shippensburg; one step granddaughter, Tracey A. Dyarman Ott, Mechanicsburg; one step great grandson, Colby E. Ott, Shippensburg; one sister, Elva (husband Ronald) Chambers, Shippensburg; daughter in-law Ann Motter, Shippensburg, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Oliver R. Rotz, Jr, William Rotz, Eugene Rotz, and Charles Rotz.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 12, 2017 at 2:30p.m., in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc. with the Rev. Harold A. Bolyard, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Otterbein Cemetery. A viewing will be held Saturday, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Sunday in the funeral home.
