Charles Witter

Charles E. “Chuck” Witter, 54, of Carlisle, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 22, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on Friday, March 13, 1964 in Carlisle, a son of Charles Franklin Witter, Carlisle, and the late Marie Kathryn Halter Witter.

Chuck was a 1982 graduate of Big Spring High School. He worked as a Linehaul Manager at ABF Freight, Carlisle, with 32 years of service.

He was an avid sports fan, especially Syracuse Basketball, Penn State Football, and the Miami Dolphins. Chuck loved watching his daughter play volleyball for Big Spring High School. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and spending time at the beach.

He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Nancy Elizabeth Murray Witter whom he married, March 17, 2001; one daughter, Kayla M. Witter; three sisters, Cheryl A. (husband Victor) Barrick, Tammy S. (husband Bill) Sweger, and April J. (husband Timothy) Black, all of Carlisle; and 11 nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 26, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Oakville United Methodist Church.

Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service on Friday in the Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Oakville United Methodist Church, 519 Oakville Road, Shippensburg, PA 17257.
