Charles J. Hamilton, 90, a resident of the Shippensburg Health Care Center, died Saturday, October 31, 2015 in the center.
He was born October 19, 1925 in Newburg, Cumberland County. Charles was a son of the late Clarence and Dora Mae Farner Hamilton.
Charles retired from the Cumberland Valley Co-Op, Shippensburg. Earlier in his life he was a Dairy Farmer.
He is survived by two sons, Glenn W. Hamilton and his wife Paula, and Timothy C. Hamilton and his wife Tina all of Shippensburg; two grandchildren, Jared A. Hamilton of Denver, PA, and Janay M. Hamilton of Shippensburg; one sister Laura Jumper of Shippensburg; his companion of 30 years, Eva Miley of Shippensburg and her children, Dottie Crusey, and Art Miley of Shippensburg, Tony Miley of Chambersburg, and Charlotte Cramer of Mercersburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his twin brother, Wilbur who was killed during WWII and lost at sea. Three brothers and four sisters are also deceased.
Funeral services will be held Friday, November 6, 2015 in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc., Shippensburg at 2 p.m. Officiating will be The Rev. Butch Neil. Burial will be held in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg. A viewing will be held Friday afternoon one hour prior to the services in the funeral home.
