Charles Coldsmith

Charles L. Coldsmith, 85, of Shippensburg, died Tuesday, April 30, 2013 in the Shippensburg Health Care Center.
Born June 18, 1927 in Shippensburg, Cumberland County, he was a son of the late Roy and Esther Cook Coldsmith.
Charles retired from the Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg. He was United States Army Veteran of World War II where he was a Military Police Officer. Charles was a member of the American Legion Post #223, Shippensburg.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, and one sister.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Fay L. Mitchell Coldsmith, three sons, Daniel C. Coldsmith and his wife Patti, David L. Coldsmith and his wife Susan, and Dennis R. Coldsmith, all of Shippensburg, one daughter, Dore Diehl of Fayetteville, four grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held privately in the Spring Hill Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Shippensburg VFW and American Legion Posts. Officiating will be The Rev. Michael K. Miller. There will be no viewing or visitation.
