Charles Chamberlin

July 18, 1936 — December 27, 2012

Charles E. Chamberlin, 76, of Chambersburg, died Thursday, December 27, 2012 in the Shippensburg Health Care Center.

Born Saturday, July 18, 1936 in Waynesboro, he was a son of the late Robert and Lula Shockey Chamberlin.

Charles retired from Letterkenny Army Depot as an Optical Instrument Repairman. He was a United States Marine Corps Veteran and a member of the Pennsylvania National Guard. Charles was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Brethren Church, Chambersburg.

Surviving is a son, Shawn E. Chamberlin of Chambersburg; two brothers; Robert Chamberlin, Jr. and Lloyd Chamberlin both of Waynesboro, two sisters; Thelma Roof of Mechanicsburg and Louise Dolka of Waynesboro.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Clayton Chamberlin.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 2, 2013at 2:00 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc. with the Rev. Garry L Culler officiating. Burial will be private in Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service.

Military Honors will be conducted by the Shippensburg Veterans Council immediately following the service at the funeral home.
