Catherine L. Schultz, 72, of Newville, departed this life on the morning of Saturday, December 5, 2015, at Green Ridge Village.
She was born on August 11, 1943, in Chambersburg, a daughter of Esther Kennedy Riley and the late Bion Riley.
Catherine was a homemaker throughout her life. She was a member of the Franklin County Fire Police Association and served with the Pleasant Hall and Fannett Metal Fire Departments.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her two daughters, Debra (Alvin) DeShong of Upper Strasburg and Misty (Christopher) Barton of Newville; three grandchildren; three sisters; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her father, Catherine was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas L. Schultz.
Her memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m., on Wednesday, December 9, 2015, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Inc., Shippensburg. Brother Earl F. Stovall will officiate. Interment will be private. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to either the Pleasant Hall or Fannett Metal Fire Departments.
