Carol Ann “Penny” Seilhamer, 64, a resident of ManorCare, Chambersburg, died on the evening of Wednesday, March 28, 2012, at ManorCare.
She was born on January 15, 1948, in Chambersburg, a daughter of Robert J. Pringle, Jr. and the late Helen A. Alleman Pringle. She was a 1965 graduate of the Shippensburg Area High School.
Carol was a homemaker throughout her life. When her daughters were young, she was very involved, in many capacities, with their Brownie and Girl Scout Troops. With her husband, Carol attended the Mt. Vernon Christian and Missionary Alliance. She enjoyed reading and sewing.
Carol is survived by her husband, William B. Seilhamer of Chambersburg; two daughters, Kathryn D. Silver of Chambersburg and Kimberly D. Barges of Shippensburg; one granddaughter, Edna Carol Barges of Shippensburg; her father, Robert J. Pringle, Jr. of Florida; four sisters, Mary Myers, Barbara Bigler, Susan Stocker, and Paula Coy; three brothers, Joseph Pringle, Robert “Red” Pringle, and John Pringle; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
Her funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Monday, April 2, 2012, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Inc., Shippensburg. Rev. Reuben C. Coldsmith will officiate. Interment will follow in the Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg. Viewing will be Sunday afternoon, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
