Carol Ann Russell, 74, of Shippensburg, passed away Sunday, December 13, 2020 at the Chambersburg hospital.
Born Wednesday, October 16, 1946 in Chambersburg, she was a daughter of the late Ralph Emerson and Dorothy Marie Nolan Mowery.
Carol was a 1964 graduate of the Shippensburg Area Senior High School. She was a member of the Newburg United Methodist Church.
She retired in 1977 from the former Richard’s Textile in Shippensburg, and also retired from the Newburg United Methodist Church in 2019 as a custodian.
Carol loved and cherished her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening and growing flowers.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Ronnie Ray Russell whom she married June 25, 1976, Shippensburg; one son, Michael P. (wife Beth) Russell; one daughter, Stefanie A. Russell; four grandchildren, Carter E. Russell, Reece J. Russell, Mya E. Russell and Casen M. Russell, all of Chambersburg; and one brother, Galen Mowery, Zullinger, PA.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, funeral services and burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Newburg United Methodist church, P.O. Box 68, Newburg, PA 17240.
