Carl Rosenberry

April 6, 1945 — January 21, 2012

Carl Leroy Rosenberry, 66, formerly of Walnut Bottom, died on the evening of January 21, 2012, in Manor Care, Chambersburg.

He was born on April 6, 1945, in Roxbury, a son of the late Albert Martin & Mabel Stoner Rosenberry. Carl was a U.S. Army veteran.

Carl was retired from the Letterkenny Army Depot, where he worked as a welder and he also worked at the former Hoffman Mills, Shippensburg, after his retirement.

He was a member of the Durff-Kuhn V.F.W. Post #6168, Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post #223, Minnequa Social Club, all of Shippensburg, and the L.S.L. Sportsman’s Club, Orrstown. Carl was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed snowmobiling, horseshoes, and dart league activities.

Carl is survived by one son, Anthony W. (Malena) Rosenberry of Chambersburg; two daughters, Kimberly S. (Peter) Hines of Mercersburg and Jennifer R. Rosenberry of Shippensburg; eleven grandchildren; one brother, Albert Rosenberry of Shippensburg; four sisters, Alma (Paul) Paulis of Carlisle, Bonita (George) Bair of Spring Run, Zenith (James) Reed of Chambersburg, and Dawn (widow of James) Smith of Spring Run; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Kevin Leroy Rosenberry.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, January 27, 2012, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Inc., Shippensburg, with military honors conducted by the Shippensburg Area Veterans Council. Dr. Kenny J. Craig will be officiating. Interment will be private. Viewing will be Thursday evening, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
