Carl W. Durf, Sr., 78, of Shippensburg, passed away Thursday, December 17, 2020 at the Chambersburg Hospital.
Born Sunday, October 18, 1942 in Newville, PA, he was a son of the late Harry Albert and Catherine Elizabeth Sites Durf.
Carl was of the Protestant Faith. He retired in 2005 from Valley Quarries in Shippensburg. Carl loved to hunt, bowl and golf.
He is survived by one son, Carl W. (wife Kelly) Durf, Jr., Shippensburg; one step son, Gregory K. Swartz, Newburg; one step daughter, Karen L. Kline, Shippensburg; two brothers, Donald and Bruce Durf, and one sister, Darlene Barrick, all of Newville; and three grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, L. Brenda Kline Durf who passed away August 18, 2000; and three brothers, George, Paul and Ellis Durf.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens with Pastor Joel Gillman officiating.
