Carl Argenbright

February 14, 1933 — April 5, 2018

Carl T. Argenbright, 85, of Elizabethtown, formerly of Shippensburg, passed away Thursday, April 5, 2018 in the Masonic Village of Elizabethtown.

He was born February 14, 1933 in Chambersburg, PA. Carl was a son of the late Joseph and Alice Hay Argenbright.

Carl retired from SKF Industries where he was a Tool and Die Maker and then had Argenbright’s Machine Shop in Shippensburg. He was a member of the Memorial Lutheran Church and the Cumberland Valley Lodge # 315 F&AM both in Shippensburg. Carl was also a member of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary. He was a 1952 graduate of the Chambersburg Area Senior High School. Carl enjoyed camping and fishing, especially salt water fishing at the beach.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Betty Ann Crusey Argenbright who passed away June 4, 2013. One son, Douglas Argenbright and four siblings, Margaret, Dorothy, Richard and Roy are also deceased.

Carl is survived by one daughter, Deborah Berkich of Middletown, two granddaughters, Kimberly Barge and her husband Charles of Mechanicsburg and Jennifer Coleman-Cobb and her husband Jason of Harrisburg, five great grandchildren, Breanna, Makayle, Tyler, Mayson and Chesney, one brother, Joseph Argenbright, Jr. and one sister, Patricia Hammond.

Masonic services will be held Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at 2 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Shippensburg with funeral services to follow. Officiating will be The Rev. Dana Blouch-Hanson. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the services in the funeral home.

In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 3544 N. Progress Ave, Suite 205, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
