Calvin Halter

Calvin W. Halter, 94, of Shippensburg, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2020.
He was born Sunday, August 16, 1925 in Newburg, PA. Calvin was a son of the late Raymond C. and Carrie M. (Hamilton) Halter.
He retired from the Letterkenny Army Depot and was a United States Army Veteran during World War II. He was a member of the Hub City Club and the Durff-Kuhn VFW Post # 6168 both in Shippensburg.
Calvin is survived by three grandchildren, Brian, Christopher and Laurian Halter, and one sister, Betty Ann (Gene) Rhodes.
He was preceded in death by his wife Amy E. (Byers) Halter, and two sons, Ronald L. and Robert E. Halter. Three sisters and three brothers are also deceased.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at 2 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Shippensburg. Officiating will be Pastor Dale A. Detweiler. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Minute Men of the Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post # 223, Shippensburg. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the services in the funeral home on Tuesday.
