C. Esther Dunlap

C. Esther Dunlap, 84, originally of Shippensburg, passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at Green Ridge Village in Newville.
Born Sunday, September 15, 1935 in Newville, she was a daughter of the late Eugene S. and Margaret K. Dunlap.
Esther attended grade school at Oak Grove and graduated from Shippensburg High School in 1953. After graduating from business school, she worked for the private sector. Later she worked for the Department of State in Washington D.C. and retired from the Forest Service in Portland OR.
She attended the Baptist Community Church and the Four Square Churches in Portland OR.
In her spare time, Esther enjoyed painting landscapes, mostly scenes of the Northwest.
Esther is survived by one brother, Carl H. (Peggy) Dunlap, Shippensburg; one sister, Lois A. Penaroza, Honolulu, HI; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, Harold, and Donald Dunlap.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 1, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Crematorium Inc., with Pastor Robert S. Dunlap officiating. Burial will be in Newville Cemetery. A viewing will be one hour prior to the service on Monday in the funeral home.
