Brenda Karper

Brenda K. Karper, 60, of Shippensburg, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 in the Chambersburg Hospital.

Born September 21, 1950 in Chambersburg, Franklin County, she was a daughter of Ruth A. Kann Karper of Shippensburg and the late Luther W. Karper, III who died July 24, 2003.

Brenda was a 1968 graduate of the Shippensburg Area Senior High School.

In addition to her mother she is survived by one son, Shelton A. Epperson and his wife Tina of Hanahan, SC, three daughters; Sherilyn R. Shaffer, Judy D. Richardson and her husband Scott, and Diane M. Karper all of Shippensburg, five brothers; Jamie L. Karper and his wife Jennifer of Newburg, Luther S. Karper and his wife Sonja, Matthew A. Karper, Steven D. Karper and his wife Diane, and Timothy Karper all of Shippensburg, six sisters; Marcia L. Karper, Candace E. Warren, and Lorrie A. Ross and her husband Jim, and April R. Rotz and her husband Richard all of Shippensburg, Pati D. Knepper and her husband Steven of Chambersburg, and Susan J. McLaughlin and her husband Larry of Fayetteville; and 4 grandchildren.

In addition to her father she was preceded in death by one brother, Michael B. Karper, who died September 19, 1997.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 9, 2011 in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc., Shippensburg at 11 a.m. Officiating will be The Rev. Todd A. Risser and Mr. Richard R. Rotz. Burial will be private. The viewing will be held Saturday morning from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. in the funeral home.
