Boyd Myers

Boyd C. Myers, 76, of Upper Strasburg, passed away at noon on Friday, January 5, 2024 at the Chambersburg Hospital.

He was born on August 14, 1947 in Chambersburg, a son of the late John N. and Mildred (Newell) Myers. Boyd married Beverly A. Forbes on September 18, 1971 in Upper Strasburg.

Boyd served in the United States Army for two years and was stationed in Germany. He was employed at Shetron’s Tire Service in Shippensburg for 51 years, retiring in 2016.

In addition to his wife of 52 years, Beverly, he is survived by two children, Kimberly S. Kuhn and her husband Glenn of Chambersburg, and John N. Myers and his wife Laurie of Lurgan; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, David Myers and Jerry Myers.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 12, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. Rev. Dwight Munson and Rev. Ethan Kane will officiate. Burial will follow in the Parklawns Memorial Gardens with military honors being conducted by The Minutemen of the American Legion Post #223. A viewing will be held Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
