Bonnie Rhea Halter, 74, of Shippensburg, peacefully departed this life on the afternoon of Friday, July 28, 2017, at her home, surrounded by family.
She was born on December 28, 1942, in Shippensburg, a daughter of the late Charles E. and Violet Wilson Killian, Sr.
Bonnie worked as a fitter for several of the former local garment factories. In her leisure time she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, playing computer games and cards with friends, nature and taking walks, and living near the mountains. Bonnie was an auxiliary member of both the Durff-Kuhn V.F.W. Post #6168 and Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post #223, Shippensburg.
She is survived by her husband of twenty-six years, Richard; two brothers, Ed (Ann) Killian of Saxton and Don (Gail) Killian of Harrisburg; sister, Beverly Killian of Ft. Atkinson, WI; son, John (Jean) Rosenberry of Shippensburg; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by one son, Rick Rosenberry.
Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, August 2, 2017, at the Fogelanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. Rev. Brian Harrison will officiate. Interment will follow in the Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. Viewing will be one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
