Bonita Kay “Bonnie” (Miller) Ocker, 71, of Shippensburg, passed away the evening of Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at the Chambersburg Hospital.
She was born on February 15, 1950 in Gettysburg, a daughter of the late Everett and Mary (Koser) Miller.
Bonnie was a 1968 graduate of the Shippensburg High School. She worked as a secretary at the Scotland School for Veterans’ Children for 36 years. Bonnie was very family focused; her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family. She also attended the Cleversburg United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Kenneth E. Ocker; three daughters, Heather (Corey) Diehl, Tonya (Larry) Keck, and Beth Ocker; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three brothers, Butch (Anne) Miller of Alabama, Jeff (Natalie) Miller of Greencastle, and Mike Miller of Newburg; two sisters, Terry (Jay) Clough of Shippensburg and Pam (Richard) Pevahouse of West Virginia; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Paul Clippinger; one brother, Robert Miller Sr.; and two sisters-in-law, Mim Miller and Eddie Miller.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. There will be no public viewing, visitation, or service at this time. A celebration of life service will be scheduled at a later date and time.
