Beverly Ann “Bev” Myers, 69, of Shippensburg, departed this life on the evening of Friday, February 19, 2021.
She was born on June 24, 1951, in Chambersburg, a daughter of the late Harold L. Gutshall and Martha P. (Reese) Alleman, and step-father, Robert Alleman. Bev married Ronald L. Myers on June 20, 1998, at the Cleversburg United Methodist Church.
Bev worked at the former Carlisle Tire and Wheel Co., and retired from housekeeping in 2018.
She enjoyed shopping, gardening, nice cars, and in recent years, feeding and watching the birds around her home. She had a wonderful talent for interior design and took pride in keeping her things very neat and tidy. Bev helped her late father, Harold, with parties and events with his Serendipity Singles group and was also well known for throwing many pool and birthday parties at her house for her friends and relatives. Bev loved caring for her dog and constant companion Phoebe. They will both be greatly missed by everyone who was fortunate to have known and loved them.
In addition to her husband of twenty-three years, Ronald, she is survived by her daughter, Robyn Foster and husband Brian of Newville; two grandsons, Noah and Hayden Foster, both of Newville; two step-daughters, Theresa A. Ott and husband John of Dillsburg and Donna L. Washington of Edgewater, MD; three step-grandchildren, Lily and John Ott, Jr., and Justin Washington; her brother, A. Dean Gutshall and wife Ellen of Shippensburg; two sisters, Carol Helm and Cheryl “Sherry” Wenger; a step-sister, Angela Barmont; and several nieces and nephews.
Bev was preceded in death by her biological parents.
Her funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 26, 2021, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. Pastor Garry L. Culler will officiate. Interment will be private. Viewing will be Friday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter or the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
