Betty Scott

Betty L. Kugler Scott of Shippensburg, joined her husband Scotty in their Heavenly Home on Tuesday, August 1, 2017.

Born Wednesday, March 4, 1925 in Waynesboro, PA, to the late Oren M. and Reta I. George Kugler.

Mrs. Scott was preceded in death by her husband Horace R. “Scotty” Scott on August 2, 2005. They were married on April 16, 1949 in the Shippensburg Church of the Brethren, she was also preceded in death by four sisters, two brothers, and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Scott worked at the former Stanley Company in Chambersburg, SKF Industries, and Hoffman Mills both in Shippensburg.

She enjoyed making flower arrangements, interior decorating, cooking, and she enjoyed traveling with her late husband. Mrs. Scott was a member of the Shippensburg Church of the Brethren and a former member of the Salem United Church of Christ in Waynesboro, PA. She loved and was cherished by her church family.

Mrs. Scott is survived by her loving niece, Judith Ann (husband Daniel) Hager and their daughter, Tiffany Hager Dippert and family, also many nieces and nephew.

Funeral services will be held Friday, August 4, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Shippensburg Church of the Brethren with Pastor Brian R. Markle and the Rev. Harold E. Yeager officiating. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shippensburg Church of the Brethren Family Life Center, 253 East Garfield Street, Shippensburg, PA 17257.
