Betty M. Ott, 86, of Gettysburg, died Monday, December 23, 2013 at Golden Living, Gettysburg.
She was born June 6, 1927 in Shippensburg, Cumberland County. Betty was the daughter of the late Grace Kelley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. “Sig” Ott, a grandson, Richard Bradley Ott, and two sons, Richard and Dennis Ott.
Betty retired as co-owner and operator of the former CB & O Bar and years ago worked at the U-Wanna-Wash Frock Company in Shippensburg.
She is survived by three sons, Robert C. Ott and his wife Anna, and Calvin L. Ott and his wife Wendy all of Shippensburg, and Larry E. Ott of Biglerville, three daughters, Linda K. Plasterer and her husband Ronald of Shippensburg, Nancy L. Taylor and her husband Terry of Biglerville, and Kathy J. Ott and her husband Steve Fissel of Orrtana, 20 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren, 12 great-great grandchildren, one sister, Violet Hockenberry, three step brothers, Gerald, Ronald, and Ken Lynch, and two step sisters, Nancy and Milly Lynch all of Shippensburg.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 30, 2013 in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Shippensburg at 10:30 a.m. Officiating will be Pastor Ken Reid. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Gettysburg. A viewing will be held Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home.
