Betty Keeseman Johnson

Betty “Jeanie” Keeseman Johnson, 78, of Shippensburg passed away Monday, August 14, 2017 in the Thornwald Home.

She was born February 22, 1939 in Newville. Betty was a daughter of the late Herbert and Marie Hardy Lindsay.

She retired from Knouse Foods and attended the Greenvillage Church of God.

Betty is survived by her companion, Donald Shetter, five children, Brett (Mary) Keeseman and Susan (Gary) Swartz all of Carlisle, Janice (Byron) Simpkin of AL, Bryan Keeseman of Newville and Kathy (Edward, Sr.) Young of Newville, 12 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, two brothers, Jim Lindsay of Carlisle and H. John Lindsay of Shippensburg.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Alfred Keeseman who died February 1, 1981. Two brothers and one sister are also deceased.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 17, 2017 at 11 a.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Shippensburg. Officiating will be Pastor Matthew Tosten. Burial will be held in the Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens. A viewing will be held Thursday one hour prior to the services in the funeral home.
