Betty G. Holtry, 84 of Shippensburg, died Thursday, April 2, 2015 in the Chambersburg Hospital.
Born Monday, July 7, 1930 in Chambersburg, she was a daughter of the late Herbert Irvin and Virginia Dair Hayes Guyer.
Betty retired as an Electronics Analyst May 26, 1992 from Reeve’s Hoffman in Carlisle. She was a member of the Messiah United Methodist Church where she was very involved in the nursery and was the churches Cub Scout Leader, and loved to arrange flowers.
Surviving is her husband of 65 years Eldon Eugene Holtry, Sr., one son, Eldon Eugene Holtry, Jr. and his wife Sue, of Shermansdale, two daughters; Donna May Rosenberry and her husband, Stephen of Chambersburg and Linda Holtry Barlet and her husband, Bruce of Mertztown, five grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Herbert Guyer.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 6, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc., with the Rev. Dr. Francis H. Norton officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill cemetery. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the services in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House of Hershey, 745 West Governor Road, Hershey, PA 17033, American Heart Association, 1019 Mumma Road, Wormleysburg, PA. 17043. or the Lupus Foundation, 100 West Station Square Dr., Landmarks Building, Suite 1920, Pittsburgh, PA 15219.
