Betty Glass

Betty L. Glass, 84, formerly of Shippensburg, late of Hanover, departed this life on the afternoon of Monday, February 13, 2023, at Homewood at Plum Creek.

She was born on October 28, 1938, in McCoysville, Juniata Co., Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Jeremiah N. and Sylvia (Smith) Imes. Betty married Robert G. Glass, Sr., on November 14, 1954. He preceded her in death on July 4, 2008.

Betty was a homemaker throughout her life and enjoyed gardening and cooking.

She is survived by her son, Robert G. Glass, Jr., and wife Catherine of Hanover; her daughter, Pamela J. Newberry and husband Donald, Jr., of Howard; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and spouse, Betty was preceded in death by a grandson; one brother; and three sisters.

Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, February 17, 2023, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. Pastor Timothy Imes will officiate. Interment will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Viewing will be one hour prior to the service on Friday morning at the funeral home.
