Betty Chaney

Betty Jane Chaney, 89, a resident at the Shippensburg Health Care Center and formerly of Turnpike Road, died Friday, March 4, 2016 in the home.
Born November 6, 1926 in Garrett, PA, Somerset County, she was a daughter of the late James G. and Dorothy E. Burke Fisher.
She loved and cherished her family and was very involved in all aspects of their lives.
Betty is survived by two daughters; Gloria J. (Mrs. Roger Ashway, of Newburg, and Diane C. Christensen, of Elkton, MD, six grandchildren, Eight great grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Chaney who died March 9, 2012, five brothers and one sister. Betty is the last of her immediate family.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 11, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc., with The Rev. Dr. Francis H. Norton and Rev. Steven M. Livermore officiating. Burial will be in Otterbein Cemetery. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service on Friday.
