Berthold A. Wendeln, 83, of Shippensburg, passed away Monday, May 29, 2017 in the Chambersburg Hospital.
He was born June 18, 1933 in Hoheging, Germany. Berthold was a son of the late Joseph and Maria Budde Wendeln.
Berthold retired from Ingersoll-Rand, Shippensburg. He was a member of Our Lady of the Visitation Catholic Church, Shippensburg.
He is survived by his wife, Eleonora H. Meyer Wendeln; two sons, Paul J. (Valerie) Wendeln and Bert F. (Shelly) Wendeln; two daughters, Theresa M. (Smith) Bushong and Margaret E. (Darby) Christlieb; ten grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by ten siblings.
A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held in the Our Lady of the Visitation Catholic Church, Shippensburg with Father Dwight Schlaline officiating. Burial will be held the St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery, Carlisle.
