Berneta May McMullen, 64, of Shippensburg, passed away Saturday, December 22, 2018 at the Chambersburg Hospital.
She was born Monday, May 10, 1954 in Chambersburg, a daughter of the late Glenn A. and Mary D. Forrester Diehl, Sr.
Berneta was a 1972 graduate of the Shippensburg Area Senior High School. She retired from the Mechanicsburg Naval Depot where she worked as a Support Service Administrator. She was an avid animal lover.
She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Jerry L. McMullen, whom she married on July 2, 1979; two sisters, Linda J. (husband Robert) Commerer, and Glenda I. (husband Dana) Rotz, all of Shippensburg; mother in-law, Marion R. Orris McMullen, Newburg; and five nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Glenn A. Diehl, Jr., in 2009; and her father in-law, Calvin J. McMullen, Sr., in 1998.
Funeral services were held on Friday, December 28, 2018 in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium Remembrance Chapel.
