Bernard Fleming

Bernard H. Fleming, 90, of Concord, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at the Shippensburg Health Care Center.

Born Friday, August 26, 1927 in Concord, Franklin County, he was a son of the late John Scott and Nellie M. Clouser Fleming.

Bernard was of the Protestant Faith. He was a United States Army Veteran serving during WWII. He retired from Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg after 33 years of service.

He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman.

Bernard is survived by one daughter, Sylvia Jean Fleming, Shippensburg; one brother, Dean Fleming, East Waterford; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Betty May Hockenberry Fleming, whom he married, June 20, 1964; five brothers, Kenneth, Herbert Wilson, John Alvin, Paul Keamer, and Willis Graham Fleming; and three sisters, Violet J. Imes, Vernetta M. Hurrell and Evelyn L. Dillman.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 19, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc., with Rev. Marlin A. “Butch” Neil officiating. Burial will be in Concord Union Cemetery with Military Honors. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service on Monday in the funeral home.
