Benjamin R. Musser, 96, of Rockingham, VA, formally of Shippensburg, passed away the morning of Wednesday, June 14, 2023.
He was born on Friday, October 29, 1926 in Chambersburg, a son of the late Harvey Benjamin and Sarah R. (Hammaker) Musser.
Benjamin was a self-employed dairy farmer for over 50 years. He was a fun-loving person who loved and cherished his family. Benjamin never met a stranger and was known for his joke telling personality. He was a member of the Christian Missionary Alliance Church where he was very active.
He is survived by four children, Joyce M. (Philip E.) Martin of Rockingham, VA, June A. Ziegler of Dillsburg, Laverne K. (Diane M.) Musser of Shippensburg, and Benjamin R. (Beverly A.) Musser of Chambersburg; eight grandchildren, Amy (Keith) Weaver, Jodi (Randy) Goshorn, Kara (Clinton) Burkholder, Ryan (Sarah) Musser, Lynell (Justin) Gochenauer, Hanna (Joshua) Reinford, Katrina (Paul) Yoder, and Kevin (Hannah) Ziegler; 26 great-grandchildren; and three siblings, Janet (Atlee) Hershberger of Ohio, Viola (Elwood) Wingert of Greencastle, and Chester (Ruth) Musser of Carlisle.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Julia Mae (Keefer) Musser; and three siblings, Elizabeth Crider, Roy Musser, and Harry Musser.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. Viewing and funeral will be private. Benjamin will be privately laid to rest alongside his wife in the Mt. Rock Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held at the Christian Missionary Alliance Church, Chambersburg at a later date and time.
