Bazil Doyle

Bazil F. Doyle, Sr. 80, of Shippensburg, died Thursday, December 8, 2011 in the Shippensburg Health Care Center.
Born March 30, 1931 in Chambersburg, he was a son of the late John F. and Anna M. Hancock Doyle.
Bazil retired from Dechene Logging and then worked during the construction of the Shippensburg Township Park. He was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War. Bazil was a member of the Durff-Kuhn VFW Post # 6168, Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post # 223, Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge # 2500 and the Hub City Club all in Shippensburg.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Judith A. Warren Doyle, three sons, Bazil F. Doyle, Jr. and his wife Necia, Michael W. Doyle, and Ralph E. Doyle and his wife Tabatha all of Shippensburg, four daughters, Melinda G. Hager and her husband Rick of Newburg, Lisa C. Seibert and her husband David and Anna M. Smith and her husband Richard all of Shippensburg, and Theresa S. Gerhart and her companion Gary Varner of Amberson, one brother, Harry Doyle of Shippensburg, two sisters, Mary Kirby of Shippensburg and Betty Sechler of Somerset, 14 grandchildren, two step grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, one step great grandson and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, John Doyle, a sister Margaret Newell and a grandson, Eric Halter.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 12, 2011 in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc., Shippensburg at 1:30 p.m. Officiating will be The Rev. Donald L. Herb. Burial with military honors conducted by the Shippensburg VFW and American Legion Posts will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. A visitation will be held Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m.in the funeral home.
