Barry Perry

Barry E. Perry, Sr., 68, of Shippensburg, died Wednesday, March 12, 2014 peacefully at home.

He was born March 28, 1945 in Chambersburg, Franklin County. Barry was a son of Betty L. Johnston Perry of Shippensburg and the late John E. Perry, Sr.

He retired from CFJMA after 29 years of service. Barry was a member and on the board of directors of the Shippensburg Fish and Game Association. He was a member of both the American Legion and VFW Posts in Shippensburg and the AMVETS Post in Chambersburg. Barry was an official for the Shippensburg Midget Football League. He coached Little League Baseball and Softball and also Youth Basketball all in Shippensburg.

Barry enjoyed hunting, fishing, time at the cabin, the beach and most of all spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his first wife, Lois D. Weaver Perry who died August 2, 1999 and a sister, Gloria Gilbert.

In addition to his mother, Barry is survived by his wife, Marjorie K. Perry, one son, Barry E. Perry, Jr. (Fiancée Katrina Moore), two daughters, Renea I. Breneman (Kelly), and Rachelle “Shelly” D. Davidson (John) all of Shippensburg, one step son, Brian Kimmel of Pittsburgh, one step daughter, Erica Baucom (Mark) of South Carolina, one sister, Florence Horn of Arkansas, three brothers, John E. Perry, Jr. of Louisiana, William H. Perry and Richard L. Perry, Sr. both of Shippensburg, eight grandchildren, one great granddaughter, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 15, 2014 in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Shippensburg at 2 p.m. Officiating will be The Rev. Caroline J. Smith. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. A viewing will be held Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home.
