Barbara A. Timmons, 70, of Newburg, died Monday, February 16, 2015 in the Chambersburg Hospital.
She was born Tuesday, June 13, 1944 in Chambersburg, Franklin County. Barbara was a daughter of the late John S. and Ruth A. Crider Davidson.
She was past owner and operator of Johnnies Restaurant, Newburg, and also worked at G.S. Electric and Professional Billing Management Services in Chambersburg. Barbara also worked at Guyer Pools and Jackson Hewitt in Shippensburg.
She attended Mowersville Brethren in Christ Church, Newburg. Barbara was an avid hunter, and enjoyed both playing Bingo and attending her grandkids sporting events. She was a 1962 graduate of the Shippensburg Area Senior High School.
Barbara devoted many years of her life caring for her mother and many others.
She is survived by four children, Wendy L. (Barney) Wolff of Newburg, Tracy L. (Eddie) Forrester of Orrstown, Tonia L. (Robert) Dunlap of Newburg, and William H. (Sarah) Timmons of Orrstown; former husband William B. Timmons of Orrstown; sixteen grandchildren, Tyler and Dalton Wolff, Levi, Zach, Jesse, and Jake Forrester, Annie, Abbie, Ruthie, Kara, Rinnah, and Rhema Dunlap, Hunter, Ryleigh, Peyton, and Wade Timmons; five great grandchildren, Landon, Katelynn, Parker, and Mason Forrester, and Emerson Wolff.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 21, 2015 in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc., Shippensburg at 10 a.m. Officiating will be The Rev. David S. Halteman. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. A viewing will be held Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home.
