Barbara Kegerreis

Barbara J. “Barb” Kegerreis, 82, of Orrstown, passed away the morning of Monday, January 1, 2024 at her home.
She was born on August 2, 1941 in Chambersburg, a daughter of the late Norman C. and Harriet A. (Warren) Kegerreis, Sr.
Barb was a 1959 graduate of the Shippensburg High School and retired as a library technician from Kutztown University. She was an avid horseback rider and loved her two horses, Trouble and Smuggle Diamond. Barb was an enthusiastic reader and avid supporter of the Shippensburg Public Library. She frequented Hawk Mountain Sanctuary for bird watching and enjoyed bowling in her free time.
She is survived by her four nieces and one nephew, Bridgette Gettel and her husband Kenneth of Shippensburg; Melanie Reed of Chambersburg, Misty Caples and her husband Clint of Senoia, GA, Summer Davey and her husband Barry of West Chester, and Carson Kegerreis and his wife Andrea of Litiz; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four siblings, Norman C. Kegerreis, Jr., Gretchen D. Kegerreis, Norma L. McCoy, and Rachel A. Campos.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, January 15, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. Pastor Bruce Levy will officiate. Per Barb’s wishes, there will be no viewing or visitation. Barb will be privately laid to rest in the Middle Spring Cemetery.
