Artemis R. Cupper, 84, of Orrstown, died on the morning of Monday, November 3, 2014, at the Chambersburg Hospital.
She was born on September 30, 1930, in Carlisle, the only child of the late Marlin and Hazel Reed Peters.
Artemis was employed as a seamstress at the former Marden Clothing Co., Shippensburg, retiring in 1992. She was a long-time member of the Shippensburg First Church of God; was a member of both the Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post #223, and Durff-Kuhn V.F.W. Post #6168 Ladies Auxiliary; and in the past, liked to work in her flower beds when she was more able.
She is survived by her daughter, Darlene K. Hollar of Orrstown; her son, Joseph R. (Kelly) Cupper of Chambersburg; one granddaughter, Jessica R. (David) Lewis of Jacobus; and two great grandsons, David E. and Devin W. Lewis, both of Jacobus.
In addition to her parents, Artemis was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, who died in 1975.
Her funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, November 8, 2014, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Inc., Shippensburg. Interment will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Viewing will be Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
