April M. Dunlap, 46, of Shippensburg, was promoted to glory Friday, September 18, 2015 at home.
She was born April 17, 1969 in Chambersburg PA. April was the daughter of Walter J. Shauf and Debra D. Keefer Gilbert.
She was a member of the Newburg First Church of God. April retired as a Member Services Representative from Adam Electric Cooperative in Gettysburg. She was a 1987 graduate of the Chambersburg Area Senior High School and received her Associates Degree from Commonwealth College in Virginia Beach, VA. April was a member of the Shippensburg FFA Alumni and the Cumberland County 4H Goat Club. She was involved with the Relay for Life Program.
She is survived by her husband, Darrin L. Dunlap, two sons, Brandon T. Dunlap of Carlisle, and Cody L. Dunlap and his wife Adrienne of Newville, three brothers, Scott, Clayton, and Donnie Lane all of Fayetteville, three sisters, Crystal Ehrhart of Orrstown, Tammy Sherman of Upper Strasburg, and Terri Hamilton of Chambersburg, parents Walter J. Shauf and his wife Linda of Fayetteville, and Debra D. Keefer Gilbert and her husband Al of Chambersburg, maternal grandparents, Bill and Betty Fluke of Upper Strasburg, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, September 26, 2015 in the Newburg First Church of God at 11 a.m. Officiating will be Rev. Dale H. Miller, Jr. and Rev. Kevin Dunlap. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the services and following the service at church.
