Anthony Lee “Tony” Coons, Sr., 51, of Ridge Road Shippensburg, died Tuesday, October 25, 2011, at his home.
Born Wednesday, May 18, 1960, in Chambersburg, he was the son of Jackie I. and Anna “Barb” Cummings Coons of Shippensburg.
Tony was of the Protestant faith. He was presently employed at R.J.C. Industries of Carlisle where he worked as a diesel mechanic for the past 20 years. He was a member of the Walnut Bottom Rod and Gun Club, and a member of the Teamsters Union Local #776, Carlisle. Tony was an avid hunter and fisherman, and enjoyed spending time with his family and especially his grandson Drake.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 21 years, Wendy S. Allison Coons, one son, Anthony Lee “Tony” Coons, Jr. of Chambersburg, and his fiancé’ Melanie Whitehouse, two daughters, Chelsea E. Killian and her husband Ryan of Shippensburg, and Chane’l E. Coons and her companion Robbie Carbaugh of Shippensburg, one grandson, Drake T. Coons of Chambersburg, four brothers, 2 sisters, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral services and burial will be private. A viewing and visitation will be held Tuesday, November 1, 2011, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc.
Memorial contributions may be made to one’s favorite charity.
