Anna G. Reed, 83, of Shippensburg, died Thursday, May 17, 2012 in her home. Born April 16, 1929 in Nossville, Huntingdon County, she was a daughter of the late Cambridge M. and Ida E. Berrier Hampton.Anna was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion in Fort Loudon, Ladies Auxiliary of the Durff-Kuhn VFW Post # 6168 in Shippensburg, and loved to square dance and travel. Many years ago she worked at the Greif Company in Mt. Union. Anna attended the Church of God Pentecostal in Shippensburg.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one sister, Mini Metz .She is survived by her husband Richard L. Reed who she married April 18, 1992, four sons, Donald J. Shoop of Newton Falls, Ohio, John W. Shoop and his wife Cathy of Three Springs, Belvy T. Shoop and his wife Barbara of Marion, and Herbert A. Shoop of Blairs Mills, two daughters, Carolyn J. Yohn and her husband Richard of Greencastle, and Susie Shilling of Clear Spring, MD, three brothers, Blaine Hampton of York, Dale Hampton of Perulack, and John Hampton of Roxbury, two sisters, Genevieve Kent of Loysville, Beatrice Trego of Perulack, three, step-sons, Thomas Reed of Mechanicsburg, Douglas Reed of Hanover, and Richard Reed of Morehead City, NC, 18 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at 2 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Shippensburg with The Rev. Marlin Fleck officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Greencastle.
