Anna “Ann” Elizabeth Florentina Peterson, 86, of Shippensburg, passed away on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at the Shippensburg Health Care Center.
Born Sunday, August 16, 1931 in Jamestown, New York, the daughter of the late Herman C. and Elizabeth “Betty” Berg Carlson.
Ann was a member of the Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, Landisburg. She enjoyed sewing, handcrafts, and reading. As a devoted Pastor’s wife, she was active in the Church, Teen Challenge, and Community Outreach.
She is survived by three daughters, Karen A. (husband Hal) Still, Shippensburg, Linda K. (husband Vernon) McCraw, Lakewood, NY, and Judy L. Peterson, San Marcos, CA; two sons, Erick N. (wife Terrie) Peterson, Jamestown, NY, and Rev. David P. (wife Arden) Peterson, Chesapeake, VA, 18 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren and one great granddaughter on the way.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Rev. Erick Herman Peterson who passed away October 3, 2014; one daughter, Nancy Peterson; and two grandsons, Tom Anderlik, and Mark Lucia.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 8, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Sunset Hill Cemetery, Lakewood, NY, with The Rev. David P. Peterson officiating. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Prayer Crafters at Shippensburg Memorial Lutheran Church, 34 East Orange Street, Shippensburg, PA 17257
