Anna S. MacPherson, a resident at the Episcopal Home, Shippensburg, died Sunday, October 9, 2011 in the Carlisle Regional Medical Center.
Born May 25, 1924 in Shippensburg, she was a daughter of the late William and Edith Whorley Seavers.
She was a 1942 graduate of the Shippensburg High School. She retired from Letterkenny Army Depot where she worked as a secretary.
Anna was a member of the St. Andrews Episcopal Church and the Episcopal Church Women Ministries, Shippensburg Area Civic Club, First Court Chapter # 470 Order of Eastern Star, Durff-Kuhn V.F.W. Post # 6168 Ladies Auxiliary and Charter member of the former Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.
Surviving are two nieces, Jane Motter, Shippensburg and Susan Barner, Charlotte, NC, one step-son Stephen K. MacPherson, Harrisburg, two sister in-laws Mary and Margaret Seavers and good friend Betsy Riep, all of Shippensburg.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. MacPherson who died August 8, 1994, two brothers, William and John Seavers and one sister, Miriam Alexander.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at 11:00 AM at St. Andrews Episcopal Church, Shippensburg with the Rev. Christine F. Purcell officiating. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery.
