Anna Belle Kelley, 101, a resident of Manor Care, Chambersburg, formerly of Shippensburg, passed away Saturday, March 31, 2018 in the home.
She was born September 10, 1916 in Mainsville, PA. Anna Belle was a daughter of the late Benjamin and Frances Etta Hippensteel Helm.
She was a member of the Shippensburg Church of the Brethren. Years ago Anna Belle worked at the Beistle Company and the former Richard Textiles. She enjoyed game shows, soap operas, doing puzzles, rooting for Penn State, cooking, sewing and most of all spending time with her family. Anna Belle was a great homemaker.
She is survived by two daughters, Shirley A. Jones and Betty L. Wadel and her husband, Donald and one daughter-in-law, Geraldine Kelley all of Shippensburg; nine grandchildren, Ricky Kelley, Jr., Pam Miley, Tricia Richardson, Jack Kelley, Jr., Greg Kelley, Kurt Kelley, Gail Mangle, Bob Jones, Jr. and Jesse Wadel; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Charles Kelley, two sons, Richard C. Kelley, Sr. and Glen Kenneth “Jack” Kelley, Sr., and one great-great grandson, Bryce Pukavige. Anna Belle was the last of her siblings, being preceded in death by five brothers and five sisters.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 6, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Shippensburg. Officiating will be Pastor Brian Markle. Burial will be held in the Cleversburg Cemetery. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the services in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Shippensburg Church of the Brethren, 253 East Garfield St., Shippensburg, PA 17257.
