Anna Mary Hancock, 95, of Shippensburg, died Monday, September 9, 2013 in the Shippensburg Health Care Center.
She was born September 11, 1917 in Chambersburg, Franklin County. Anna Mary was a daughter of the late Burns and Anna V. Scott Shoemaker.
She was a member of the Ridge Church of the Brethren, Shippensburg. Anna Mary worked at the former Monarch Dress Factory, U-Wanna-Wash Frock Company, and L’Aiglon all in Shippensburg.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry L. Hancock who died August 27, 1985, one son, Paul L. Clark, Sr., two brothers, Jesse and Lloyd Shoemaker, and two sisters, Rachel Cover and Grace Hershey.
She is survived by one sister Mae Varner of Shippensburg, three grandchildren, Karen Oleary and her husband Tom of Roslyn, PA, Susan Chamberlin and her husband Keith of Shippensburg, and Paul Clark and his wife Alta of Chambersburg, seven great grandchildren, and thirteen great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held in the Ridge Church of the Brethren at 10 a.m., Friday, September 13, 2013. Officiating will be The Rev. Earl F. Stovall. Burial will be in the Ridge Cemetery. A viewing will be held Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Shippensburg.
