Andrew Pintozzi, Jr., 86, of Shippensburg, departed this life on the morning of Saturday, March 6, 2021, at Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center.
He was born on February 3, 1935, in Philadelphia, a son of the late Andrew and Margaret (Geist) Pintozzi, Sr.
Andrew worked as a head dyer at the former Richards Textile Co., for twenty-three years, retiring in 2005. He was a member of Our Lady of the Visitation Catholic Church, Shippensburg.
All through his life, Andrew enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved and enjoyed his family always. Andrew was a wonderful father, terrific grandfather and great grandfather, and will be missed greatly by all who loved and knew him.
He is survived by his daughter, Mary M. Glunt and husband Ronald of Redondo Beach, CA; three step-children, Olga Gadomski of Shippensburg, Michael Bermes and wife Linda of Cherry Hill, NJ, and Peter Bermes and wife Sandra of Albany, GA; fourteen grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Andrew was preceded in death by his wife, Zina (Trifon) Pintozzi; a step-son, Victor Bermes; and his brother, Frank Pintozzi.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, March 13, 2021, at Our Lady of the Visitation Catholic Church, Shippensburg. Rev. Ben Dunkleberger will officiate. Interment will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the Mass on Saturday afternoon at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Wounded Warriors Project.
