Alvin E. “Slim” Elliott, 85, of Shippensburg, died Saturday, August 5, 2017 in the Chambersburg Hospital.
Born October 30, 1931 in Waynesboro, he was a son of the late David M. and Zelda G. Etter Elliott.
Alvin was a 1949 graduate of the Chambersburg Area Senior High School. He retired from SKF Industries in Shippensburg with 44 years of service.
He was a member of the Chambersburg Church of the Brethren. Alvin was a life member of the Shippensburg Fish & Game Association where he volunteered as a hunter safety instructor.
Survivors include his wife Peggy A. Crist Elliott, two sons; Steven D. (wife Dorothy) Elliott, Exmore, VA and David M. (wife Marguerite) Elliott, Newburg, one sister; Doris Baughman, Chambersburg, four grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in Parklawns Memorial Gardens with Rev. Joel Nogle officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association Franklin & Fulton Chapter, 1019 Mumma Road, Wormlesburg, PA 17043.
