Alice F. Armstrong, 82, of Shippensburg, passed away the evening of Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at the Chambersburg Hospital.
She was born on January 11, 1942 in Shippensburg, a daughter of the late Roy and Catherine Woltz Lightfoot.
Alice was a caregiver for the majority of her working years. She had an innate ability in getting to know someone and left a lasting impression on anyone she encountered. Above all else in life, she cherished and loved her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her four children, Kenneth (Theresa) Geedy of Wilmington, NC, Wade (Connie) Geedy of Bethany, NY, Bryan (Amy) Geedy of Castile, NY, and Sherina (Todd) Beam of Newburg; 14 grandchildren, Jessica, Sara, Jonathan, Katie, Kelly, Crystal, Jennawade, Wade Jr., Brittany, Jacob, Michael, Matthew, Todd Jr., and Bryanna; 19 great-grandchildren; and two siblings, Barbara Miller and Gordon Lightfoot, both of Shippensburg.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Jerry, Ronald, and Eugene Lightfoot.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. Per Alice’s wishes, there will be no public viewing, visitation, or service at this time. Her private graveside service will be held at Spring Hill Cemetery.
